How League Ratings Will Work
Below are the ratings from the 2011 season. To prevent strategic movement of players out of strength order, we are going to force you guys to keep your players in rating order. Ratings will fluctuate more or less depending on how many games you have played so if you have played fewer games, you will see your rating change more.
Please check for your players so that when lineups are sent in they can be sent in league rating order. Captains may change orders at their discretion as long as ratings are within 100 points. For example, if the top rated player is 1902 and the second board is 1804 and the captain believes the 2nd board is stronger, the captain may play the 1804 player at board 1 and the 1902 player at board 2 because the ratings are within 100 points.
If you are a new school or have new players who have never played in league, you may assign provisional ratings to each of your players or you may use USCF ratings. If you assign ratings, no 2 consecutive players may have over a 200 point difference unless you use USCF ratings. EVERY player added to the teams MUST be entered into the database with a rating. DO NOT simply insert a player and have him or her play. Email [email protected] first! Ask if you have any questions.
